Musculoskeletal Systems

A Brief Information About The Major systems In The Body

The Musculoskeletal System (skeleton + muscles) gives protection to soft and important organs. For example, the bone protects the brain, the ribcage protects the heart and lungs. Apart from this muscle are necessary of course necessary for movement.

Respiratory Systems

A Brief Information About The Major systems In The Body
  • The Respiratory Systems [Nose, larynx (soundbox), pharynx (first part of the windpipe), trachea (the windpipe), bronchi (air passage), and lungs].
  • This system cares about creating the mandatory gas (oxygen) accessible from the air around us and removing the unessential gas (carbon dioxide), as we tend to exhale.

Nervous Systems

A Brief Information About The Major systems In The Body

The Nervous systems (brain, spinal cord, nerves) controls all the other systems. It is concerned with the control of the most basic activities such as the beating of the heart and formation of urine, to the most complex such as writing a novel. As a control system, the nervous systems hav to get information both from outside as well as from within the body. This is possible because of special senses (vision-eyes, hearing-ears, touch-skin, taste-tongue, and smell-nose) which give the brain detailed information about the outside world. Similarly, there are senses which give the brain detailed information about the ‘inner world’ where our body is positioned in space, how tightly our fingers are clenched, and so on.

Cardio Vascular Systems

The CardioVascular Systems (heart + blood vessels such as the arteries and veins) is a transport system for the blood. The blood carries the essential substance to all the cells so that they can perform their functions. Two essential substances are oxygen and glucose (sugar). The circulatory system also transports waste substance from the cells to other organs, where they are excreted (removed from the body).

Endocrine Systems

The Endocrine System (gland such as pituitary, thyroid, ovaries, and testis) is essential for the normal functioning of the other systems. For example, if the thyroid gland functions less efficiently then it should, the person may be mentally slowed down, feel the lazy and sluggish gain weight, and be altogether unwell. The endocrine system is also under the control of the brain.

Excretory Systems

The Excretory System (kidney, ureters, urinary bladder) is concerned with the removal of unnecessary and toxic substances. The skin also helps, by secretion of sweat. Wastes are also removed and toxic substances. The skin also helps, by secretion of sweat. Wastes are also removed through the organic process and metabolic process systems.

The Digestive Systems

The Digestive System (mouth, teeth, tongue, pharynx, esophagus, stomach, duodenum, small intestine, large intestine, colon, rectum, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas). The system is concerned with breaking up the food which we eat into smaller parts which can enter the blood, and be used to build up the body and provide energy.

Reproductive Systems

The reproductive system (glands + reproductive organs) is closely regulated by endocrine systems, i.e., the ovaries secrete hormones (chemical substances) which cause changes in the uterus menstruation. In Man, reproductive activities are controlled by the brain to a large extent.
